Yeah zoom zoom zoom!

I’d like to introduce mine and Matthew’s new baby …

Isn’t he beautiful?!

We traded in Matthew’s truck and bought a car today!

Because of ridiculously high gas prices the truck just became an expensive mode of transport for me (as I was the one driving it cos Matthew drives his work Jeep) so we decided to trade in the truck and buy a more “Shellie-sized” fuel-efficient car. Basically, by doing it now and not in a few months we got a great trade-in on the truck (as opposed to a few months from now when everyone is trading in their huge trucks and SUVs to buy new little cars), a fabulous deal on the car, kick ass financing and even cost-price leather seats!

If you want to see more pickies of our new baby (named “Mazza”!! LOL!) check out: Mazdausa.com. It’s the Mazda 3 iTouring in “Titanium”, four doors, automatic, all power stuff and black leather seats. I would go into more details but I need to get to bed …

Unfortunately they don’t have any in stock, so we’re expecting the stork to deliver Mazza to the dealership in about two weeks.

I’ll post pics of OUR actual car as soon as we get it!

    Nice car Michelle. My Cousin in Oz has one, they are serious fun to drive. Also it is a major improvement on what I’m driving (Suzuki Swift) yes I now rubbish car. I’m starting to get abuse of my 2 year old nephew about it.
    Have fun when it arrives and remember don’t say Banana Hammock…………………… er Banana Hammock!!.

    Zoom zoom does not have a sunroof; the one pictured is actually the S-trim, the sportier one, but it guzzles more gas so I didn’t want it. But they look almost identical apart from a few superficial details.

    It is going to be a fun zippy little car, I just can’t wait! Had a dream last night I got my zoom zoom then I woke up and realized I still had to wait … *sigh*

    Not sure what’s up with my blog! It’s been going up and down all the time! Very annoying :-(

    Me, I think somewhere in the top 3 will be Brazil, Argentina and Italy. A little cliched maybe, but with the draw the way it is, Brazil and Argentine could be against each other in the Final (and with how i predicted it, England are going to lose to Brazil in the Semi’s and Italy to Argentina in the other one…)

    Spain never play that well in big tournaments, a lot of the Dutch squad is getting old and England still have Sven as manager. Your thoughts Natty?

    I was thinking Brazil, Italy, France…

    You’re right about Spain…they crack under pressure but I will still be supporting the boys! It will be interesting to see how Australia go given they’re in the same draw as Brazil.

    Ohh and Shellie - we’re talking World Cup here.

    Michele it is about sport!!!!!!! And not like the American baseball WORLD SERIES!!! WHICH ONLY HAS TEAMS FROM aMERICA PLAYING IN IT. footy (soccer) where they also hit the ball with their heads - The World Cup - is about to start. Everyone in the world besides you Mihcele and most America unless you are of some sporting ethnic persuasion care!
    Will have to read a little more to pick my three - not England - haven’t a chance!!!! Most likely a South American team - where they kill you when you get back home after losing!!!!!!!
    And Mazza is very cute!

    Yes hunny, soccer… And today was a sad day for soccer indeed.

    Situation: My team (Spurs) are in a battle with their bitter rivals for 4th place which is down to the last games of the season. If Spurs win, they finish above Arsenal for the first time in yonks and claim a spot in next season’s Champions League.

    But, ’somehow’ 10 of the Spurs players get serious food poisoning from the Hotel they are staying in (no other guests do) the night before the game. But are forced by the League officials to play. (losing 2-1 in a saddening display to watch as the players were white faced and almost stumbling round the park at the end of the 90 mins). There was no professionalism or sportsmanship shown by the League and that was kinda sad.

    *sigh* A sad end to an otherwise awesome footie season. :-/

    Anywho, enough about that! Just needed to argh somewhere, and why not here! hehehe

    Quite obviously the chef at the hotel was an Arsenal supporter… grr… The police and health & safety teams are actually investigating. I kinda hope they don’t find someone, because if they do, that person had better get out of London the day they’re named in the papers or they could be in for some serious hurting by slightly peeved Spurs supporters…

    I abide Natty. Am up to 3800 calories on my diet (and that’s a lot of eating!), i eat about 300g of Protein a day. :-p

    Just basically doing my thing of working out, eating and working. You excited about your trip?

    And Matthew, the ARSEnal were rightfully named. hehehe

    I know, and it may be up to 4000 calories for next week. Weee!! :-) I need to keep upping it right now as my body seems to get used to the extra calories within 2 weeks. In all fairness though, eating what I do, and when I do (8 times a day) is a huge challenge. But I know the results will be worth it all, so i persevere!

    can’t you just add a calorie supplement to your food instead of eating 8 times a day? wouldn’t that be easier??

    By calorie supplement what do you mean? I have at least one ’shake’ a day which has protein & carbs, and my last ‘food’ of the day is just a simple protein shake before bed.

    And Matthew, I have to go to the bathroom more from the 5+ litres of water i drink than from food! I don’t spend any more on food than I used to, basically I’ve just cut out all the processed or othewise crap I used to buy.

    Yey world cup is coming, off course england won’t win, particularly with the squad that has been picked. My top 3 Brazil, Germany and possibly the italy. The aussies could surprise everybody. Matthew nice to see the Clippers doing well also very funny to see the Lakers lose to the Suns, especially after leading 3-1. Kobe didn’t look happy!!!.

    hmmm…I’m talking hospital quality calorie enhancers. You can purchase them from most pharmacies here (Sustagen, Ensure to name the two we use here at Scope). Normally for the frail and the under nourished but also used by the physically elite who can’t down 5000 calories naturally!

    Natty, problem with a lot of those type of things is that, although they are high in carbs etc, it is mostly through simple sugars (sucrose) which is quickly digested and causes a spike in your metabolism (insulin related).

    I do take more appropriate supplements for me which contain Dextrose and other more complex carbohydrates which provide a longer energy release for my body. The problem with liquid supplements is that they can play havoc with your digestion if you have too many.

    Here’s a comment for you shellie… When are we going to get an update?! 2 weeks since the last one… How are we supposed to survive without our at least weekly “what’s going on in michele-land” info?
