San Fran Quarterly
So Nat and I just got back from the San Fran Les Mills Quarterly. It was an awesome day! Almost all of the Custom Bodies Fitness instructors went (Paula, Desi, Rachael, Keenan, Sanna, Heather, Dave, Nat and I) and had a great time.
The day went as follows:
6.45am Registration, then breakfast
7.45am BodyCombat and education session
Combat was absolutely awesome! Kili, Josef and Justin were fab, and it was such a blast. I also hit my highest ever heart rate (191 bpm.)
Then BodyAttack, BodyVive (which I didn’t do), lunch.
1.30pm BodyPump
Pump was great - Josef, Justin and Emma Barry presented and I heard a few great cues. Highlight: Justin’s look of “oh my god you didn’t just say that!” when Emma Barry said, “Now as we say in New Zealand, don’t blow your load too soon!” haha! Emma was great (and damn can she lift some awesome weights!) and it was even nice seeing Josef get just a little confused about choreo - it isn’t just us that it happens to! BodyPump 65 is fantastic, too.
Then BodyStep, which I only did a little bit of.
5pm RPM with Dan (program director from New Zealand.) It was a great class, with some really great ideas for visual cues. It’s also the release I’ll train on when I do RPM training in May, so it was definitely worthwhile to go through.
6pm BodyJam
I hadn’t done BodyJam pretty much ever, so I was shocked that I had such a blast! The choreography in this one seemed kind of simple (as in, attainable in your first class to get it mostly right) which made it a huge amount of fun!
After that, we went for dinner and I drank way too much wine (on top of dehydration from a whole day of working out!) for which I’m still suffering today!
But anyway, it was awesome - but now I got to get my butt together and start learning choreo!!!! Launching BP on April 14th, and BodyCombat on the 19th!!
